NEET UG Result 2024- The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the NEET 2024 results on June 4. A total of 13.16 lakh candidates have cleared the NEET exam this year, with 67 candidates securing the coveted rank 1, scoring 99.997129 percentile. Ved Sunil Kumar Shende from Maharashtra has topped the NEET 2024 exam among general category students. Right behind him is Syed Arifin Yusuf M from Tamil Nadu, who is from the general category. Mridul Manya Anand from Delhi, who is from the OBC-NCL category, has secured the third position.

NEET 2024 Result: Increase in qualifying marks
These qualifying marks in the NEET exam have been increased this year. Last year the qualifying marks range for the UR category was 720 to 137, which has increased to 720 to 164 this year. Last year the qualifying marks range for OBC SC and ST categories was 136 to 107, which has increased to 163 to 129 this year.
NEET Result 2024: 56.4% of candidates qualified
This year, more than 24 lakh students had registered for NEET UG. Out of these, 2333297 i.e. 96.9% candidates appeared in the exam, while more than 13 lakh i.e. 56.4% candidates passed the exam.
NTA NEET 2024 Result: The Number of candidates increased by 16.85%
There has been a significant increase in NEET registrations this year, up 16.85% from last year. A total of 24,06,079 candidates have registered for the exam this year, showing a significant increase from last year’s 20.59 lakh applicants. Among the registered candidates, the number of males has reached 1,029,154 as compared to 889,428 in 2023, showing an increase of 15.71%. Similarly, the number of female candidates has also seen a significant increase, with 1,376,831 registering this year, up from 1,168,411 in 2023, showing an increase of 15.71% in female registrations for the NEET exam.
NEET UG 2024: How many students from which category qualified
Talking about category-wise eligible students, this year 333932 candidates from UR, 116229 from EWS, 618890 from the OBC category, 178738 from the SC and 68479 candidates from the ST category have passed.
NEET 2024 Counseling date soon
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) oversees counselling for 15% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats, while state authorities handle counselling for the remaining 85% of admissions. NEET qualifiers can access the MCC’s official website at mcc.nic.in to view the seat matrix and the list of participating medical colleges. The NTA will soon release this year’s counselling schedule. Last year, NEET UG’s first counselling round commenced on July 20th.
