NEET Re Exam Announced 2024- Dispute Big victory for NEET students in SC! Grace marks of 1563 students cancelled– Students have got a big victory in the NEET scam case. During the hearing in the Supreme Court, NTA announced the cancellation of grace marks for 1,563 students involved in the scam. Also, the exam will be conducted again for these students only.

NTA Remove Grace Marks From NEET

Today the Supreme Court told the petitioner that the National Testing Agency (NTA)  has accepted your point. They are removing the grace marks. The Supreme Court clearly said that only those students with grace marks will be included. Apart from this, NTA has allowed these students to either appear in NEET again or participate in the counselling of NEET UG with the mark sheet without grace marks.

NTA said that the re-examination (1563) will be held on June 23, after which counselling will be done. NTA said that the matter of the paper leak in the third petition is not in the Supreme Court. NTA said that the result could come before June 30.

Several petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court regarding the NEET exam results, out of which petitions related to grace marks, re-examination and cancellation of the exam were heard in the Supreme Court today (13 June). In the petition, Alakh Pandey has urged the Supreme Court to constitute an expert panel under its supervision, which “examines the examination process and results of NEET (UG) 2024.”

A vacation bench of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Sandeep Mehta heard the case. During the hearing, the Supreme Court reiterated that it will not stop the counselling of NEET-UG, 2024. The Supreme Court said that counseling will continue and we will not stop it. If the exam is held, everything is right, so there is nothing to fear.

NEET Re-examination will be held on June 23: Lawyer

Advocate Shwetank said, “We had filed a PIL on the NEET exam issue and our main issue was about paper leak and other irregularities by NTA. The court has directed that the exam will be held again on June 23…”

Two NEET-UG 2024 candidates, Hiten Singh Kashyap and Palak Mittal, have filed a petition in the Supreme Court claiming that the examination process was unfair. They have alleged large-scale question paper leaks and manipulations before and during the exam. According to the petition, not only were the question papers leaked, but the examination centres were also manipulated. It has been noted that students from states like Odisha, Karnataka and Jharkhand had chosen a specific centre in Godhra, Gujarat.

SIO members Abdullah Mohammad Faiz and Dr Sheikh Roshan Mohiddin have filed a petition seeking the withdrawal of NEET-UG 2024 results and a fresh examination. The petitioners accused the NTA of being arbitrary in giving grace marks and said that it is impossible to get 718 and 719 marks out of 720.
