Indian Navy Agniveer Age Limit
The age limit for the recruitment of Agniveers in the Navy is 17½ – 21 years as in other armies. Candidate should be born between 1st November 1999 to 30th April 2005. But a relaxation of two years has been announced for the first batch of candidates. That is, this time youth up to 23 years of age will be able to apply.

Qualification of SSR Recruitment
Two types of Agniveers will be recruited in the Navy. The first is Agniveer SSR i.e. Agniveer Senior Secondary Recruitment in which 10+2 pass candidates will be taken. Only 12th-pass candidates from the Science stream can apply for the Agniveer SSR post. At least one of these subjects: – Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science from the Board of School Education recognised by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.

Indian Agniveer (SSR) – 01/2022 Salary
Payment, Allowance and Related Benefits: Agniveer will pay you a bundle of Rs. 30,000 monthly with a fixed annual increase. In addition, diet will be paid for exposure and deprivation, clothing and travel.
SEVA NIDHI: The firefighters will be given a one-time service fund package, which will include their monthly contribution by the government on completion of the period of their engagement, as shown below:

Life Insurance Cover for Agniveer
- Agniveer will be provided with a non-contributory life insurance cover of Rs. 48 lakhs for the duration of the period of their engagement.
Death Compensation For Agniveer
- In addition to insurance coverage of Rs. 48 lakhs, a one-time ex-gratia of Rs. 44 lakh for death due to service, will be awarded to NOK.
SELECTION PROCESS AGNIVEER
Shortlisting: The shortlisting of candidates will be based on the aggregate percentage obtained in the qualifying examination (10+2) with Physics, Mathematics and at least one of these subjects – Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science. State-wise shortlisting will be done in the ratio of four times the number of vacancies. The cut-off marks may vary from state to state as the vacancies are allotted in a state-wise manner. Shortlisted candidates will be issued a call-up letter for a written test and PFT. Aadhar card is mandatory for written test/PFT.
Shortlisted candidates will have to undergo a written test and physical test for Agniveer. In the physical test, the 1.6 km race will be completed in 6 minutes 30 seconds. Along with this, 20 sit-ups and 12 pushups will also have to be done. The Merit list of qualified candidates will be prepared after the physical test. Medical will be conducted for the qualified candidates who come in the qualification. After the training of Agniveers in the Navy, recruitment will be done in powerful and modern aircraft carriers, large ships like guided missile destroyers and submarines.
Physical Standards for Agniveer
Qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is mandatory for selection, candidates passing the PFT will do so at their own risk. The PFT standard is as follows:

Merit List for Agniveer: A Merit list will be prepared based on performance in written examination, subject to qualifying in the physical fitness test. Merit list for Agniveer (SSR) – Male and Female will be based on state-wise merit. The cut-off marks for the issue of call-up letter for recruitment medical examination at INS Chilka may vary from state to state.
Recruitment Medical: Recruitment Medical Examination of all selected candidates will be conducted at INS Chilka. Candidates found medically fit in the Recruitment. Candidates who are found medically unfit may, if they so desire, appeal against the findings at INHS Nivarini/INHS Kalyani with a maximum period of 21 days. No further review/appeal is allowed.
