Eligibility for Agniveer Vayu Recruitment
Only unmarried male Indian citizens (citizens of Nepal) can appear in the exam under 01/2022 intake which is scheduled to be held from 24th July 2022.
Vayu Sena Agneevir Education Qualification:
(a) For Science Subjects:
- Pass Intermediate / 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and English with min 50% marks in aggregate while 50% marks in English; OR
- 3-years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science /
Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) with 50% marks; OR - 2-years Vocational Course with non-vocational subject viz. Physics and Math with 50% marks.
(b) For Other Than Science Subjects:
- Pass Intermediate / 10+2 / 12th Class in any subject with min 50% marks in aggregate while 50% marks in English; OR
- 2-years vocational course with min 50% marks.

Benefits of Agniveer Vayu 2022 under Agnipath Scheme
- Indian youth whose age is between 17.5 to 23 years can apply Agniveer Vayu Recuritment in Agneepath scheme.
- Agneepath will allow youth to serve in the armed forces for a period of four years.
- Candidates who become Agniveer will get 10% reservation in recruitment in Assam Rifles, CAPFs.
- Uttar Pradesh/Madhya Pradesh and other states will also give preference to Agniveer in police department recruitment.
- LIC (Life Insurance): The firefighters will be provided with a life insurance cover of Rs. 48 lakhs for the period of his engagement as Agniveer Vayu in the Indian Air Force.
- Agniveer Skill Certificate: A skill-set certificate will be given to Agniveer by the Indian Air Force after the completion of the time period.
- Leave : Annual : 30 days, Sick leave. Medical advice based.

- Candidates can apply between
24/06/2022 to 05/07/2022. - Photo: Passport size recent color photograph (taken not before April 2022) of size 10 kb to 50 kb (front image in light background without head gear except for Sikhs).
- The photograph is to be taken in front of the chest of the candidate on a black slate with his name and date of the photograph clearly written in capital letter with white chalk.

IAF Agneepath Agniveer Recruitment Notification 2022
The Indian Air Force has uploaded the full details of Agniveer Vayu IAF Recruitment 2022 including exam date, exam venue, selection process, age limit, qualification and other eligibility criteria. The latest IAF Agneepath notification news is now also available on the official site. By the end of the year, the first batch of Vayu Agniveers can go to the training ground. Please note that recruitment will be done through the IAF Recruitment Portal.
IAF Agineer Vayu Recruitment 2022 Selection Procedure
There is no change in the Selection Procedure of the Indian Air Force, even in the case of Agneepath Recruitment. Candidates must be shortlisted through three steps as before in Vayu Sena Agniveer Bharti Notice. All candidates must present themselves and qualify in the required phases. Below are the stages to classify one by one.
- Written Test
- Physical Measurement and Efficiency Test
- Medical Test
Air Force Agniveer Vayu Physical Criteria
The IAF Vayu Agniveer Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is administered to those candidates who qualify in the online test. PFT consists of a 1.6 km race that is completed in 6 minutes and 30 seconds. Additionally, candidates must complete 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, and 20 sit-ups within the stipulated time.
Agniveervayu Medical Standards 2022
- Height: Min 152.5 cm.
- Chest: Min range of expansion: 5 cm.
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
- Eye Sight: Corneal surgery (PRK/LASIK) is not acceptable. However, the visual requirements are applicable under IAF regulations.
- Hearing: Normal hearing, i.e. able to hear a forced whisper at a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
- Dental: Healthy gums and good set of teeth with min 14 dental points.
- General Health: The candidate must have normal anatomy with no loss of any appendages. You must be free from any disability or active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical infection and skin disease. Both physical and mental fitness are necessary to perform the duty in the type of weather and terrain.
