Kashmir University Postponed Exams: Kashmir University has released a fresh notification for Undergraduate 2nd year examination postponed the examinations to be held on 8 and 9 January.

This decision has been taken as the valley is currently experiencing high snowfall. The LLM second semester exam has been postponed, while the UG second year exam and UG 6th semester exam have been canceled so far. The new dates for the three examinations will be released by the officials later.
So far, an official notification informed that the examination for the second semester of LLM will be held on 14 January. The time and venue of the examination will remain the same.
As mentioned, so far a sub-inspector and a woman of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) had died due to heavy snowfall in Kashmir. More than 100 structures have been damaged due to continuous snowfall across the state. An incident of houses collapsing due to snowfall was also captured on camera.

The CRPF had mentioned in its statement that the officer posted at Hazratbal in Srinagar died after falling down a shed. The woman who died due to avalanche hit Trigam area of Kupwara.
Currently, the damage caused by this weather condition is being assessed. The entire situation will be clear after a few days when the evaluation process is completed.
Meanwhile, people across the country have cracked down on the administration of the Union Territory for failing to clear snow and restore services. Even more shocking is that even in a city like Srinagar, roads are blocked due to snow. The department concerned is constantly saying that they are working on cleaning the roads, restoring electricity and water supply.
