BOI Officer Eligibility Criteria 2020

  1. Nationality / Citizenship:
    A candidate should be either –
    (i) A citizen of India or
    (ii) The subject of Nepal or
    (iii) the subject of Bhutan or
    (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
    (v) Person of Indian origin who has migrated from East African countries of Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam. Intended to settle permanently in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
  2. Age, minimum qualification and required work experience are as follows: –

Ages: –

Min. : 25 years
Max. : 40 years
Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.11.1980 and later before 01.11.1995
(Both days included)

BOI Security Officer and Fire Officer Minimum educational qualification: –

Graduate from recognized university or equivalent.
Certification in Computer Course for at least three months or Information Technology
A paper related to one of the subjects at or after graduation is a must.

BOI Security Officer and Fire Officer Work experience:-

(i) The candidate should be a commissioned officer of at least five years.
Service in the Army / Navy / Air Force
or
(ii) The candidate should be a police officer not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent.
Police with minimum 5 years service.
or
(ii) Candidate should be of equivalent rank of Assistant Commandant
Minimum five years service in paramilitary forces.

Note: BOI Security Officer and Fire Officer Selection will be done on the basis of personal interview only.

  • The maximum marks for interview will be 100.
  • The minimum qualifying marks in the interview are
