The eligibility criteria for Airforce AgniveerVayu 2024 require unmarried Indian men and women to meet specific age requirements, with candidates aged between 17.5 and 21 years as of 02/01/2004 to 02/07/2007 being eligible. Only unmarried candidates (male & female) are eligible for enrolment as Agniveervayu.
They must commit not to marry during the defined engagement period of four years.
Considering the limited engagement period, including training, skill development, assessments, and organizational requirements, extended absence affects Indian Air Force operational efficiency.
Agniveervayu individuals who marry during this period will be discharged from service.
Only unmarried Agniveervayu candidates qualify for selection in the regular cadre as Airman.
Female candidates must additionally commit not to get pregnant during the four-year engagement period.
Women Agniveervayu becoming Low Medical Category (LMC) due to pregnancy may be discharged from service.
Pregnancy serves as a disqualification for women Agniveervayu seeking selection into the Regular Cadre.
At the time of enrolment, candidates must sign a voluntary undertaking accepting the above conditions.
