Degree Requirement
Candidates must hold a minimum three-year duration degree or its UGC equivalent in any stream, without any backlogs. Candidates with 2-year diplomas are ineligible unless the program has a duration of at least 3 years.
Eligibility for XAT via GMAT
Indian candidates, foreign nationals, and NRI applicants can opt for XAT 2021 through an additional evaluating agent, namely GMAT. Candidates from Dubai, UAE, or Kathmandu, Nepal can take the examination from their domicile.
Age Limit
There is no age limit for XAT 2021.
Final Year Candidates
Candidates in their final year can appear for XAT 2021; however, their selection is conditional on completing the bachelor’s degree.
Admission based on GRE Exam
Candidates planning to take admission based on GRE Exam must ensure that the exam was taken between GRE score validity: from December 1, 2015, to December 31, 2020.

XAT 2021 Answer Key: How to Calculate Score

  • Step 1: Aspirants will need to compare the responses recorded by the system and the correct answers given by the panel.
  • Step 2: Once done, calculate the scores of true and false responses. One mark will be collected for every correct answer while 0.25 marks will be deducted for any wrong answer. Also, 0.05 marks will be deducted for uncut questions (for more than 8 unpublished questions).

Marking Scheme (XAT 2020 Exam)
– Each correct response in the MCQs earned candidates 1 mark.
  • An incorrect response in the MCQs incurred a penalty of 0.25 marks.
